1982 Documented reliquary theca with relics of St. Camilla Battista da Varano OSCl, Poor Clare Abbess

Oval white-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the pre-canonization first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of Saint Camilla Battista da Varano. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Ex Oss //B. Baptistae Varano V. (the Blessed [Camilla] Battista da Varano, Virgin).  On the back, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Cardinal Bruno Frattegiani (†1996), Archbishop of Camerino-San Severino Marche. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and sealed by Archbishop Frattegiani in 1882.

Saint Camilla Battista da Varano OSCl, (†1524) was an Italian princess and a Poor Clare abbess who is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. She is said to have experienced visions of Jesus Christ assuring her that when on the cross, so great was His affliction at seeing His Mother at His feet in such bitter anguish, that compassion for her caused Him to die without consolation; so much so, that the blessed Baptista, being supernaturally enlightened as to the greatness of this suffering of Jesus, exclaimed, "O Lord, tell me no more of this Thy sorrow, for I can no longer bear it." She was beatified by Pope Gregory XVI in 1843 and canonized on 17 October 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI. Her feast is commemorated on 30 May.
