1910 Documented reliquary theca with relics of St. Gaetano dei Conti di Thiene, founder of the Theatines

Oval glass-fronted silvered brass reliquary theca housing the second-class ex pluviali  (of a cape) relic of Saint Gaetano dei Conti di Thiene. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground surrounded by gilt paperolle and silver wire ornamentation and identified in Latin on a manuscript cedula label as Plu.S. Caj.  (of a cape of Saint Gaetano).  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Father Guido Maria Conforti (1931), Bishop of Parma, Italy (1907-1831), who himself was canonized in 2011. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and sealed by Bishop Conforti in 1910.

Saint Gaetano (Cajetan) dei Conti di Thiene (†1547) was an Italian Catholic priest and religious reformer, who helped found the Congregation of Theatines. Saint Gaetano was beatified in 1629 and canonized in 1671. His feast day is celebrated on August 7. He is  patron saint of bankers; gamblers; unemployed people; workers; non-gamblers; document controllers; job seekers; Albania; Italy; Ħamrun(Malta); Argentina; Brasil; El Salvador; and Guatemala.
