1989 Documented reliquary with relic of a Belgian Saint Mutien-Marie Wiaux

Round white-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca decorated by the cherubs housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of Saint Mutien-Marie Wiaux. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Ex ossibus S. Muciani Marie Wiaux C.  (Of the bone of Saint Mutien-Marie Wiaux, Confessor) On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of The De La Salle Brothers, formally known as the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1989 (the year of his Cannoziation) by the Postulator of the Order responsible for the Cause of Beatification and Canonization.

St. Mutien-Marie Wiaux F.S.C. (also known as Mutien-Marie of Malonne; †1917) was a Belgian member of the Brothers of Christian Schools, who spent his life as a teacher and is honored as a saint by the Catholic Church. Mutien-Marie was beatified on 30 October 1977 by Pope Paul VI. He was canonized on 10 December 1989 by Pope John Paul II. Saint Mutien-Marie's feast day is celebrated among the Brothers on 30 January.
