1975 Documented reliquary theca & medal with relics of the Blessed Charles Steeb, founder of the Sisters of Mercy of Verona

Round white-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of the Blessed Charles Steeb. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. Varolus Steeb / ex ossibus (of the bone of the Blessed Charles Steeb). On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Sisters of Mercy of Verona. The relic is accompanied by an original matching authentics document issued and sealed by the Postulator General responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization issued on the day of the beatification - July 6, 1975. It comes in the original case of the issue containing a double-sided medal with a portrait of the Blessed.

Blessed Charles Steeb (†1856) was a German priest of the Roman Catholic Church and the founder of the Sisters of Mercy of Verona, a religious institute of the pontifical right whose members profess public vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience and follow the evangelical way of life in common. The cause of sainthood commenced on 6 July 1963 despite the fact that the cause conducted preliminary work from 1949 to 1952. Pope Paul VI recognized his life of heroic virtue and named him to be Venerable on 19 November 1970, and later beatified him on 6 July 1975.
