Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class relics of two Catholic Martyrs: ex ossibus  (of the bones) relic of St. Nicholas Pieck andex corpore (of the body)  relic of St. Josaphat KuntsevychThe relics are affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedulae labels as S. Nicolai Piek M. / V. / S. Josaphat E.M. ( St. Nicholas Pieck, Martyr / St. Josaphat, Bishop & Martyr).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Monsignor Ugo Poletti (†1997), an Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Vicar General of Rome (1973–1991). The relic is accompanied by the original  authentics document issued in 1994 by Msgr. Camillo Ruini Vicar General of Rome (1991–2001).

Nicholas Pieck, O.F.M., (†1572) "Nicolaas" or "Claes Pieck" in Dutch, was a Franciscan friar who was one of a group of Catholic clergy and lay brothers, the Martyrs of Gorkum, who were executed for refusal to renounce their faith. Nicholas and his companions were beatified by Clement X in 1675, and canonized by Pius IX in 1867. For many years the place of their martyrdom in Brielle has been the scene of numerous pilgrimages and processions. His Feast day is commemorated on 9 July.

Josaphat Kuntsevych, O.S.B.M., († 1623) (Язафат Кунцэвіч, Jazafat Kuncevič, Jozafat Kuncewicz, Juozapatas Kuncevičius, Йосафат Кунцевич, Josafat Kuntsevych) was a Polish-Lithuanian monk and archbishop of the Ruthenian Uniate Church, who on 12 November 1623 was killed by angry mob in Vitebsk, in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (now in Belarus). He is "the best-known victim" of anti-Catholic violence related to implementing the Union of Brest, and is declared a martyr and saint of the Catholic Church. His feast day is celebrated on November 12 and he is a Holy Patron of Ukraine.
