1998 Documented reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed Maria Sagrario of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Spanish Civil War Martyr

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of the Blessed Maria Sagrario of St. Aloysius Gonzaga. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B.M. Sagrario a S. Al. Gonzago (the Blessed Maria Sagrario of St. Aloysius Gonzaga). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of the Discalced Brothers of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel (commonly known as the Discalced Carmelites). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on 10 May 1998 (the very day of her beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order.

Blessed Elvira Moragas Cantarero, known under her religious name María Sagrario de San Luis Gonzaga, (†1936) was a Spanish nun of the Order of the Discalced Carmelites of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel who is commemorated as a Catholic Martyr of the Spanish Civil war. Her initial path was to follow her father in the pharmaceutical business and continued after the death of her father when she assumed control of the business and later stepped aside for her brother to take over when it became clear that she felt inclined to enter the religious life. Her time in the convent saw her assume leadership roles in which she was protective of her fellow nuns with an amiable disposition. But the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War forced her to flee into hiding alongside another nun while refusing her brother's invitation to live with him since she wanted to ensure her fellow religious were kept safe. But she herself was captured and later shot dead in the middle of the night when the militia grew furious with her silence during interrogations. She was on 10 May 1998 by Pope John Paul II.
