1991 Vatican documented theca with relics of St. Pedro (Peter) de Arbués

Round glass-fronted white-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of St. Pedro de Arbués. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a manuscript cedula label as S. Petri de Arbues (St. Pedro de Arbués).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Monsignor Ugo Poletti (†1997), an Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Vicar General of Rome (1973–1991). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1991 by Msgr. Poletti.

St. Pedro de Arbués, also known as Peter of Arbués (†1485), was a Spanish Roman Catholic priest and a professed Augustinian canon who served as an official of the Spanish Inquisition until he was assassinated in the La Seo Cathedral in Zaragoza in 1485 allegedly by Jews and conversos. The veneration of him came swiftly through popular acclaim. His death greatly assisted the Inquisitor-General Tomás de Torquemada's campaign against heretics and crypto-Jews. Pope Alexander VII beatified Pedro de Arbués in Rome on 20 April 1664. He was canonized by Pope Pius IX on 29 June 1867 among protests from Jews and Christians.
