Reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed Maria Caterina Troiani, (of Saint Rose), Franciscan Missionaries of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Small white-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housed inside of a clam-shaped enclosure with the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of the Blessed Maria Caterina Troiani. The relic is identified in Latin on typeset cedula label as B. Cath. Troiani  (the Blessed Caterina  Troiani). On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of Friars Minor (commonly known as the Franciscans).

Blessed Maria Caterina Troiani (†1887) was an Italian Roman Catholic charitable worker, member of the Third Order of Saint Francis, who assumed the name of "Maria Caterina of Saint Rose" when she became a nun. Troiani established the Franciscan Missionaries of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Pope John Paul II beatified her on 14 April 1985 and the cause of canonization still continues pending another miracle needed – there is one now under investigation. Her feast day is celebrated on 6 May.
