1984 Documented reliquary theca with relics of a Capuchin Blessed Diego Jose (Didacus Joseph) of Cadiz, O.F.M. Cap.

Round white-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of the Blessed Diego Jose (Didacus Joseph) of Cadiz, O.F.M.Cap.. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on typeset cedula label as B. Did. J. Cad .  (the Blessed Didacus Joseph of Cadiz).  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of teh Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and sealed in 1984 by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the Causes of Canonization. 

 Blessed Diego José de Cádiz, O.F.M. Cap. (†1801) whose feast day is January 6th in the United States, was a Spanish Capuchin friar who was a noted and popular preacher throughout the region of Andalusia during the 18th century who died in 1801 as a result of yellow fever. He was beatified by the Catholic Church in 1894 as Blessed Didacus Joseph of Cadiz.
